サイズ違いの商品があるかを尋ねる英語フレーズ
「これは気に入ったけどサイズが合わない」というときのフレーズです。
ここで使っているthisは今見ている商品のこと。
in smaller sizeで「もう少し小さいサイズ」という表現になります。
このように「もう少し～」という表現を使いたい時は、大きいや小さい、長いや短いという形容詞の比較級(形容詞+er)を使います。

smaller (比較して)少さめ

longer (比較して)長め
shorter (比較して)短め
比較して大きい、小さいの言い換え表現
比較級の形なので、対象となるものと比較して、大きい、小さいという表現ですが、より具体的に「Bより(大きい、小さい)A」という表現はこのようなフレーズになります。
